This web site is created independently of the Martha's Vineyard Museum.
Although, I do try and work closely with them and tend to forward emails to Betsey Mayhew (who knows all) I do not work for the museum, nor do I live on the Vineyard.
As the museum has grown in both scope and staff, there are plans for the list of names and other information to be incorporated into the Martha's Vineyard Museum web site. To me, this is exciting news. However, when it happens, this site will become redundant and fade off into the sunset and that is a little bittersweet.
I've been involved with the memorial since 1999 and I plan to continue my involvement with both the museum and the memorial. Over the years I have come to know through email and in person a number of the parents and people involved. It has been wonderful.
If you have questions or comments, please email me. I am likely to forward questions about the memorial to the museum, but I'm happy to serve as an intermediary.
It has been and continues to be a joy.
